What a season!
We launched two brand new events this year; Free Ski for 4th & 5th Graders and the Kids Ski Rodeo and the support from this community was absolutely incredible.
Leadville, you showed up in a big way. Your excitement, participation, encouragement, and belief in new ideas made these programs not just possible… but truly special. We are so grateful for the support.
While these events weren’t specifically focused on adaptive skiing and adaptive outdoor recreation, which is the heart of our organization, we are so glad we answered the call to create them. Bringing more kids onto snow, building confidence, and seeing pure joy on the mountain reminded us why we love this work so much. These programs were simply FUN and sometimes fun is exactly what a community needs.
Huge thank you to:
❄️ Ski Cooper
💛 Our sponsors
🎿 All of the participants and families
🙌 Our incredible volunteers and staff
You helped make both events a success, and we couldn’t have done it without you.
Leadville, thank you for trusting us with something new.
We’ll see you in 2027 — and we can’t wait. 🎉❄️
Smiles, first turns, and plenty of excitement marked the successful completion of the first Learn to Glide program, a free ski experience for Lake County School District 4th and 5th graders, presented by Follow the Footsteps at Ski Cooper.
The program provides students with a complete ski experience by offering free transportation, lift tickets, professional ski lessons, ski equipment rentals, and lunch, ensuring every participant could learn and enjoy a day on the mountain.
One of the most unique aspects of the Learn to Glide program is its two-day format, which allows students to return for a second day of skiing. This structure supports progressive instruction and participation, giving students the chance to build skills, confidence, and excitement from one visit to the next.

Our amazing team of volunteers are committed to helping others experience outdoor recreation. We take our convictions/passions and turn them into action. Think you would be a good fit? Get in touch for more information!

Seeing a need for energetic, passionate, nonprofit (501c3) work in this area, we formed an epic organization to provide epic adventures outdoor recreation for those living with a disability and their crew.
